This week's play of the week is Jake Locker's first touchdown pass to Nate Washington. It was good to see Locker get in there and play well in his limited action. It is pretty clear that he still needs some work in the pocket, but he was as good as advertised when throwing on the run. He also showed that he has plenty of arm strength. Hopefully after a full offseason with the team, he will be ready to take over next season.
It was also nice to see Washington make a couple of plays with Locker in the game. His production fell off a cliff after Kenny Britt went out for the season. This passing game is a lot better when Washington is good (mainly because Damian Williams is inconsistent and Lavelle Hawkins stinks).
Hopefully we will see a lot more plays like this in the future from these two.
You can see the play after the jump.
