Last night's MCM Radio was epic. Make sure you listen to it, whether it's here or on iTunes. We had great segments with Tom Gower and mgrex03, and Jimmy and I dove a little deeper into the whole team's struggles.
Here's something unusual for this week, an encouraging stat:
Matt Hasselbeck is second in the league in the red zone, with a 122.5 passer rating and a ridiculous 96.3 QBR while Matt Schaub is 23rd, at 74.9 and 15.5.
Hasselbeck was limited in yesterday's practice with a bruised thumb. Wearing a glove to reduce some of the pain, Hasselbeck apparently still looked good throwing the ball.
Chris Johnson says he hasn't lost his burst or top-end speed, he just isn't getting the space to use it. CJ also swears he's holding himself as accountable as anyone else on the team, but the tone of frustration seems pretty clear.
The Titans defensive line has mustered just one sack in the last two games, and a meager 11 sacks on the year. Part of that is the scheme we're running, which relies on bigger linemen who are less focused on rushing the passer every single down, but the bigger line hasn't been stopping the run either the last few weeks.
The Titans and Colts got beat by a combined 89 points last week, which is historically bad for two teams who play each other the next week.
Chris Hope is planning on practicing next week, but he's still got to get the approval of team doctors before he starts hitting folks again.
Damian Williams says he had headaches on Sunday, but it wasn't a concussion.
Glennon takes a look at the progress of Curtis Painter, which mgrex also discussed on MCM Radio last night.
