Titans Bye Week Game Ball

Since there was no game this week the game ball goes to the person who has played the best over the first five weeks. I think we can all agree that Matt Hasselbeck deserves that honor. There were a lot of questions about Hasselbeck when the Titans brought him in, but he has been everything this team has needed and more.

I think even Mike Munchak would say Hasselbeck has exceeded his expectations. They knew he would stabilize the offense from a leadership prospective, but they could not have expected him to come in and play at an MVP level.

Hasselbeck's real value will be seen over the remainder of the season. He is leading a team that has a really good shot at winning the division, and he has to do it without Kenny Britt. That is going to be quite a challenge, but he deserves the MVP if he can keep up his current numbers for the rest of the year.
