David Boclair takes stock and divvies out bye week awards for the 2011 Titans. Jason McCourty, Nate Washington and Craig Stevens win most improved, while somehow Chris Johnson doesn't win for biggest disappointment. I do like this completely anecdotal/non-scientific stat:
0 - losses at home in two games. Every time in the last 30 years the franchise won its first two home games (1988, 1991, 1992, 1999, 2000, 2003 and 2008) it made the playoffs.
Everyone has an opinion on Jim Schwartz's very public shouting match with Jim Harbaugh, but veteran Titans defenders who remember how fiery Schwartz could be in the locker room weren't shocked at all:
"Seeing Coach Schwartz's facial reaction when Harbaugh shook his hand and shoved him out of the way ... you could tell Schwartz didn't like that," defensive lineman Jason Jones said. "When Schwartz caught up with him, he was really letting him know about it. I don't want to say it was comical, but I have never seen anything like that between two coaches. It was fun to see."
Gary Kubiak's comments (via Paul Kuharsky) make it sound like Andre Johnson is a long-shot to play on Sunday.
The Titans are supporting National Breast Cancer Awareness Month this Sunday with ceremonies featuring Ahmard Hall's mother (breast cancer survivor), loads of pink everything and Saint Thomas Health Systems' mobile mammography unit.
Continuing his recent trend of just copying and pasting press releases from the Titans, Wyatt delivers the Sunday schedule for the Music City Star commuter train.
Chris Hope is rehabbing, but is still several weeks away from being ready to play.
Chiefs die-hards are not a fan of Adam Schefter's suggestion they should trade Dwayne Bowe.
With Jason Campbell out for the season, Carson Palmer looks likely to land in Oakland in exchange for the Raiders' first round pick.
With the trade deadline coming up today, it's time to dust off those old posts about why nothing that interesting ever happens at the NFL trade deadline... other than a former Heisman Award winning Pro Bowl QB being traded for a first round pick.
