Bengals Trade Carson Palmer to the Raiders

The Cincinnati Bengals have agreed to send "retired" quarterback Carson Palmer to the Oakland Radiers for a 1st round pick in 2012 and a conditional 1st round pick in 2013. Apparently Oakland is going all in for the 2011 season.

It is interesting that Cincinnati backed off of their absolutely no trade stance, but you can't blame them when they are getting all of that for a guy that isn't even playing for them.

The best thing about all of this is that Adam Schefter said on Twitter that the Raiders explored the possibility of trading for Vince Young. Of course they did. Trading for Young at this point in the season would be worthless because he needs at least a year and a half to learn an offense.

So much for the NFL trade deadline being boring like it is most years. There are a still a few hours left to get deals done.
