Report: Tennessee Titans Interested In Broncos WR Brandon Lloyd

Mike Klis of The Denver Post is reporting that the Broncos have put wide receiver Brandon Lloyd on the trading block. The Titans are one of three or four teams that have shown interest, along with the Carolina Panthers.

Lloyd is 30 years old, but he led the league in receiving yards last year, with 1,448. It is a little strange that it took him four teams and seven years to find a good fit. Lloyd is in his last year of his contract, and is very reasonable. He is making only $1.395 million this year.

However, if the Titans were to trade for him, there would be a logjam of receivers on the roster, after the Titans attained Donnie Avery once Kenny Britt got hurt. The asking price is reportedly a draft pick in Round 3-5 range. Very doable for a receiver that could be a great complement to Nate Washington, even though they play the same position. After Mike Munchak and Chris Palmer called out Damian Williams earlier this week for his lack of production, I could see them making this move.

The NFL trade deadline is Tuesday. Could this be the second bye week in as many years the Titans go out and get a big name receiver?
