Tennessee Titans Owner Bud Adams Releases A Statement on Jeff Fisher

Here is the statement Bud Adams released today:

"I met for several hours today with Steve Underwood and Mike Reinfeldt about our organization and where we go from here. I will continue to review all aspects of what we do as a football team, including the coaching staff and other decisions that are in front of us.

"There are several things that need to be considered in this evaluation process, including Jeff’s (Fisher) history with our team, the labor situation and other challenges. I have been at this for a long time, and these decisions take time and thoughtful consideration.  I will make the decisions that I feel are in the best interest of the team. I do understand the time element involved and would expect to make these decisions in the near future.

"In the meantime, I will continue to be in contact with Jeff and the senior staff for any additional information that I may need."

Translation: Jeff Fisher will be the coach of the Titans in 2011.  I think the fact that Adams didn't fire Fisher today means he is safe.  Bud already has all of the information he needs to make his decision at this point.  Talking to two guys today in Underwood and Reinfeldt that are Fisher guys really isn't going to change anything.  The only thing that needs to be decided going forward is whether or not Fisher is willing to work with Vince Young.  It is pretty obvious that he isn't which probably means that Vince is gone.

I have said since the meltdown happened against the Redskins that my preference is for both Fisher and Vince to be gone, but if I have to have one of them as a part of the franchise I choose Fisher and it isn't even close.
