Tennessee_titans_30x21 Yes. Just, yes. I'd offer up a 3rd or a 2nd rounder next year if the bidding drove it that high. That's one of the best case scenarios out there. He's struggled for a terrible franchise, while Kolb has disappointed for a coach who won games in this league with the Detmer brothers.

Tennessee_titans_30x21 I'm also a fan of a possible Mangini hire as the defensive coordinator, provided we aren't switching to a 3-4. My opinion of Mangini changed a lot after I read this story before the season started (sorry, it's ESPN Insider). He basically made the same mistake every Billichick diciple has made and acted like an entitled ass when he got a shot at a head-coaching job, but unlike the others he seems like he's learned his lesson and grown as a man. Mangini can flat-out coach defense, and I think he'd be the exact kind of experienced but fresh voice that could get the defense back on track.

Tennessee_titans_30x21 Terry McCormick points towards the Senior Bowl as a spot where the Titans could get a glimpse at a Qb for the draft (Locker, Ponder and Stanzi are all scheduled to attend) and where Fisher could find a sea of potential candidates for any remaining open coaching positions. If anything, Fisher may want to fill those coaching spots before the Senior Bowl just to avoided the crush of resumes and butt-kissing from guys looking for a job.

Tennessee_titans_30x21 John Glennon talks to several of the draft prospects who are training at D-1 in Franklin about how they're dealing with the uncertainty of the NFL's labor situation. It's worth reading so you can get a glimpse of who all is there as lots of these guys who train at D-1 for the draft end up in the league, and a few (Trot Kropog and Jason Jones for starters) end-up just up the interstate at LP Field.

Tennessee_titans_30x21 The highly-touted QB class of 2006 continues to look worse after Cutler left Sunday's game with a knee injury (early return are it's a torn MCL). It was a pretty depressing display to see (though certainly not an isolated incident in the most recent years: see CJ in 2008, Colt McCoy in the championship game and LT in 2008). And t head this one off at the pass, please don't bother comparing his situation with VY's. If VY had composed himself like Jay did on the sideline, in the locker room and with the press Vince would probably have ended the season as the starter and his career outlook would be a lot different.

Tennessee_titans_30x21 Peter King steps out on a limb and says that the signing of Washburn by the Eagles was a smart move for the franchise. On a related note, the pay side of McCormick's site reported on Friday that Washburn will be payed nearly a million dollars by the Eagles. That's an elite salary for a position coach.

Tennessee_titans_30x21 Remember the Titans' lawsuit against USC coach Lane Kiffin over the Kennedy Pola incident? Well that's still going forward, and is now on it's third federal judge after the first two recused themselves because they feared the appearance of impartiality.

Tennessee_titans_30x21 This mock draft has us taking Blaine Gabbert. This kid's pretty hard to get a read on, but I did get a lot out of this breakdown by Football Outsiders. It went into a lot more detail than you usually get from online sites. Definitely a must-read.

Tennessee_titans_30x21 You think Mendenhall was telling Big Ben he gets another free pass on a rape charge if he can win another ring? He's got 2 of each already... either way that was very strange to see.
