A source has told Jeff McLane that a deal between long-time Titans defensive line coach Jim Washburn and the Philadelphia Eagles appears imminent. That is just awesome. We have one good coach on the defensive side of the ball and he is going to leave because Jeff Fisher can't offer him any assurances past this one season. Gone is the coach that turned Jason Babin into a Pro Bowler after most of the NFL had declared him a bust. Gone is the guy that was making remarkable progress with last year's first round pick Derrick Morgan.
The other problem here is that the Titans have to hire someone, and who is going to come here that is any good with no assurances past this season?
