Nothing gets people going like a list! And this a good one from David Boclair: who are the best Titans defensive ends ever (no Oilers for the purposes of this list)? The top 3 is pretty lockdown (Boom King, The Freak and Kevin Carter), but after that there's some quibbling to be done.
The Tennessean knows five things about the Titans.
Man, you read this article and it really sounds like the Steelers Nation (or at least those who aren't playing internet tough guy) are kind of shaking in their boots. They probably should be after reading some of the points Miek Bires makes early in this article:
• Dating back to last season, Tennessee has won nine of its last 11 games, including Sunday’s 38-13 romp over Oakland.
• Of the eight games the Steelers have played on Tennessee soil, they’ve lost seven of them.
• The Steelers will probably be without two starters Sunday. Left tackle Max Starks has an ankle injury. Nose tackle Casey Hampton has a pulled hamstring.
Even though Tomlin said there’s a chance [Starks and Hampton will practice this week, that’s wishful thinking. Both are doubtful at best.

The Vince Young-Heisman train has left the station, and is barreling towards full-blown MMS idiocy. For his part, VY is still giving Reggie Bush his props as the original winner despite the fact that he'd like the award now that it's up for grabs. This thoughtful level of adult interaction is primed to be completely misunderstood and misrepresented by casual observers, but I definitely think Vince is handling this the right way.
The Titans worked out a line backer and several DBs yesterday, but Mike Reinfeldt stated that the team is just filling-out it's 'ready list' of available players who they'd call if injuries dictated the need.
The Titans also dropped TE Carson Butler to add fullback Jack Cocrcoran to the practice squad.
The Titans' 17 pass attempts tied for the lowest in the NFL in a weekend which featured one rookie QB passing for over 50 attempts. David Boclair talks about what this means for e Titans' wide receivers, but I'm more interested in this as evidence that the NFL's decade long rules changes that favor the passing game are finally coming to fruition.
Jeff Fisher is part of a trio of Competition Committee members who are taking over the NFL Network's Total Access segment reviewing controversial calls from the week before.
NFP puts the Titans at 17 in the power rankings, behind 8 teams who lost last week.
More good info from the past week in the Yahoo! Team Report for the Titans.
The Steelers will still be missing their rapey-starting QB on Sunday, and they'll be starting former Oregon star Dennis Dixon. Dixon, who also spent time in the farm system for the Atlanta Braves, played pretty well last week for a guy who was such a project when they brought him in. Still, I think our defense will far a lot better against him than the over-rated Falcons did last year.
