It seems that the story of the day was the guys that didn't practice. Kenny Britt was held out with hip flexor soreness. John Glennon reports that Britt woke up with some tightness in the hip flexor:
"I’m not sure. I really just woke up with the injury,’’ Britt said. "I don’t understand it. It’s not even something I did on the field. I just woke up with it (Thursday). It was a little sore and then I ran around, aggravated it some more during (Thursday’s) practice. So they’re just giving me some time off to see how I do.
Cortland Finnegan was also held out of practice for rest today. Coach Fisher said he has a chance to go tomorrow. Jason McCourty and Ryan Mouton worked as the starting corners with Finny out.
Glennon also reports that there were a couple of "skirmishes" in practice today. This is the first real report we have gotten of guys mixing it up. I am surprised it took this long.
Tomorrow's practice will be at 1:00 in full pads. Be sure to check in here for all the action.
