Tennessee_titans_30x21 Hallelujah, hallelujah: Derrick Morgan finally completed a whole practice! Even better news is that the oft-injured rookie will play in Saturday's game against Carolina. There's a long list of hits who still aren't practicing or are on the PUP list, including starters Tony Brown, William Hayes and Justin Gage. Still, getting Morgan back and on the field is a great development for a defensive line that really needs one more legitimate threat to get to the next level.Tennessee_titans_30x21 Today's jam speaks for itself, despite a complete lack of lyrics: the legendary Herbie Hancock's Watermelon Man from his watershed release Headhunters.
Tennessee_titans_30x21 John Glennon got some interview time with Jeff Fisher, Mike Reinfeldy, Chuck Cecil and Mike Reinfeldt. Here's the most interesting tidbit, and it bodes well for our man Verner:

Glennon: What questions remain?

Fisher: Well, we haven't decided on the corner position yet.

This ain't close to being over yet...

Tennessee_titans_30x21 The Titans ended camp the way they always end camp: with some rounds of rookies running the dizzy bat drill.

Tennessee_titans_30x21 The Tennessean has a guest column from the cornerback Verner is in competition with, Jason McCourty.

Tennessee_titans_30x21 This week's Yahoo! Team Report passes along some good news on two rookies we haven't heard peep from this preseason, Robert Johnson and Myron Rolle. The coaches have been pleased with the attention to detail and performance of both players, despite a lack of big plays that is largely the result of a lack of opportunity.

Tennessee_titans_30x21 Chris Johnson has only had about 10 carries in the open field this preseason, but David Boclair still asked CJ2K why he hasn't broken the big one yet. Is there a better testament to how spoiled we all are after last season?

Tennessee_titans_30x21 7-year old Cade Brindley-Marino will be featured on a Titans game ticket after a photographer got a great shot of Finnegan handing the youngster a football late in the Rams game last season.

Tennessee_titans_30x21 In the media equivalent of throwing poop against the wall to see what sticks, Fox Sports columnist Peter Schrager looks for a sleeper pick this season and passes over the Titans to pick the Raiders.

Tennessee_titans_30x21 Here's today's 'Vince young is ready to get to the next level' article, brought to you by JimR.

Tennessee_titans_30x21 Mike Wilkening at PFW says the depth of our defense looks to be the biggest factor in turning around last year's terrible performance.

Tennessee_titans_30x21 After an embarrassingly bad display during last week's math-up match-up and the Titans/Cardinals joint practice, Matt Leinart will be benched in favor of Derek Anderson for at least the next preseason game. This might be a good time to remind everyone that all signs around that infamous draft day pointed to Fisher and Chow lobbying hard for the Titans to draft Leinart.

Tennessee_titans_30x21 Former Titan Travis Laboy, a talented DE who was plagued with concussions and lower leg during his tenure here, impressed coaches and fans in his first start for the 49ers.

Have a great weekend!
