In by far the most infuriating news we've heard in a good while, Kenny Britt showed-up to the OTAs so out of shape that Fisher has prevented him from practicing for fear of injury. Not a good development for a guy who's progress is crucial for our chances at a championship this year. Britt days he's had a lot to deal with off the field, and that the coaches are aware of those things, but it sounds like he just got lazy and soft having a few idle months with a ton of money for the first time.
Take a load off and check out this amazing clip of Gillian Welch and Old Crow Medicine Show performing The Weight. If I need to tell you who did The Weight originally, you better under 14 years old or willing to admit that you are missing some seriously important things in your life.
Paul K says that Javon Ringer has stepped into a leadership role since LenDale gone and CJ2K is missing the OTAs. Among the other notes here, Amano is playing center in camp and Leroy Harris has moved over to left guard. I'm stunned Amano can still bend over enough to play center with that fat wallet he's sporting these days.
Follow us through the jump for an idea of what went wrong with out safeties last year....
Want to find some guys to hammer CJ2K for not showing up for the OTAs? I wouldn't look in the Titans' locker room.
Several Titans coaches say Chris Hope may have 'over-prepared' for some games last year and that caused some misreads. If that's how it happened, then Michael Griffin must have just set up a cot and a hot plate in the film room to end up with so many misread.
David Climer looks at the Titans' lack of established leaders with the presence of KVB, Bulluck and Mawae.
Kerry Collins isn't losing any sleep over his salary or his job; of course, much of that may be because it's so much easier for old folks to nap a lot.
Ross Tucker goes all 'Everybody's Free (To Wear Sunscreen)' on this year's rookie class.
Classic Mike Florio: spend the whole post saying that the Kevin Kolb extension will cause us problems because it makes us look stingy, then totally negate the theory at the end:
Unlike Kolb, who was entering the last year of his contract, Johnson is signed for three more seasons.
I can't read the whole article, but I can answer the question posed in the headline: yes. Disagree? Give me one example that contradicts it? Meanwhile guys like Dhani Jones were looked at like weirdos for being well-read and eloquent.
Have a great weekend!
