In addition to discussing-without-discussing Albert Haynesworth yesterday, Mike Reinfeldt talked about the importance the franchise is placing on fixing the return game in the upcoming draft. This will definitely be something to keep an eye on through Saturday, and it's nice to see that the franchise can acknowledge how much of a disaster this group was last year.
As popular as the idea of trading back has been, Mikey also said yesterday that the Titans don't see 32 guys in this draft worthy of a first round pick. He wouldn't give a hard number, but to me that's a sign that they don't think the draft is deep enough to move back as far as it would take to pick up a significant pick. Still, they will surely be listening to any offer.
PFW has the latest in anonymous league chatter leading up to the draft, including these gems:
• "Forget (Tim) Tebow's throwing motion, I'm worried about his accuracy, vision and feel in the pocket."
• "(Boise State CB) Kyle Wilson can stick his foot in the ground and break. He has ball skills and awareness. He has an element of return in his game. This is a defensive draft, but guys are going to get pushed up. … We talk about this being a strong draft, but you should see the holes on my board."
• "We have 13 guys off our board because of medical reasons and some are high-profile guys. Everyone has all the same information. If you know a guy has a heart problem and you still draft him and ignore the signs and the guy has a heart attack, you put your entire franchise at risk. It could lead to lawsuits and (medical) licenses being (revoked). So I'm kind of curious to see where they land. I would guess the coach-driven drafts are the teams that will ignore the signs. Coaches have tunnel vision — they are thinking about winning now to save their jobs. GMs tend to be a little bit more conservative."

NFL scribe Pat Kirwan has a new 3 round mock draft out, and he has us taking JPP, Virginia Tech LB Jason Worilds and Florida S Major Wright. Not sure I'd be very pumped about those picks, though I like the Major Wright selection the most out of that lot.
In case you hadn't heard, Eric Foster of the Colts almost certainly sexually assaulted a woman in his hotel room before the Colts/Jets tilt last year. StampedeBlue.com has damning more details than Paul K delivers, and the comments are a good read in denial and diversion. Between Marvin Harrison and Eric Foster, I think we can officially take that halo off of the Colts franchise.
Paul K does a better job delivering a story about the time Reinfeldt was in Seattle's draft war room when the Vikings let the clock run out on their pick while Seattle was just a few selections away.
David Goldberg re-imagines the 2006 draft over at AOL Fanhouse, and Vince gets bumped down to 13th. I say that's justified considering the combination of successes and struggles VY has had in the league.
Hey, only 35 hours until we all get to piss and moan over the newest Titan! Also, scientists agree that sending Titans/NFL links to mcmaugustwest@gmail.com is G.
