Mel Kiper had the Titans taking USC defensive end Everson Griffen in his first mock draft. He has the Titans taking a defensive end again, but this time it is Florida DE Carlos Dunlap:
At a certain point, even questions surrounding a player's makeup can't overcome the talent, and getting a player like Dunlap at this stage is hard to question. With exceptional size and top-end athleticism for a defensive end, Dunlap should help disrupt opposing passers early in his career.
Like Kiper said, Dunlap's talent is undeniable. His character concerns would be the only thing that make him fall this far. Dunlap will have to interview well at the combine for the Titans to take him here, but I hope he does because a good pass rush is the #1 key to having a good defense.
