Tennessee Titans Morning Links: Todd McShay Is Now Known As Mr. Mocky McMockington

Tennessee_titans_30x21 Todd McShay is back in the mocking mood (Insider required $), and this time he has us taking Carlos Dunlap from Florida.  I'm going to need some serious buy-in of scouts after Dunlap's interviews and background check before I get all the way behind this pick.  McShay has us passing on Tennessee DT Dan Williams, Alabama CB Kareem Jackson and Boise State CB Kyle Wilson.  Probably the biggest shocker is that Mr. Mocky McMockington jumped USF one-year wonder Jason Pierre-Paul all the way up to third in the draft.  That's a huge investment for a kid who was playing Junior College ball 18 months ago.

Tennessee_titans_30x21 This article seems pretty premature, in my experience following Jeff Fisher: Tennessean writer (and MCM fanposterGary Estwick says Boom King shouldn't be packing his bags just yet, but I'm not seeing much in Fisher's comments other than making nice with a veteran he deeply respects.  It's been my position since about mid-season that Boom King is only brought back if he's willing to play at the veteran minimum and see reduced playing time.  I'd be 100% for that outcome because you really want his work ethic and attitude to rub-off on some of the younger guys who are on the roster now, and will be there for the first time come training camp.

Tennessee_titans_30x21 FootballOutsiders took another look at the worst CBs in the league, and not surprisingly Nick Harper makes every list except for YAC Allowed (see, he can tackle!!!!).  That wasn't a surprise, but damn if it doesn't go even further in proving how stupid Fisher's loyalty to him was... man if I have to make that statement in the present tense next year I just might snap.

Tennessee_titans_30x21 Speaking of FO, this wasn't a banner year for the DVOA in terms of correlating with late-season success.  Both New Orleans and Indy ended the regular season out of the top 5, and most of the ones who were there didn't win a single post-season game.

Tennessee_titans_30x21 The Nashville City Paper recaps Bud Adams' induction into the Texas Sports Hall of Fame.  Not much new news here, but it's a link that's directly relative to the Titans, and those are tough to come by these days.
