So you may or may not know this, but a month ago the Titans acquired Randy Moss off waivers after he was released by the Minnesota Vikings. The popular article in the national media was about how much of a problem Moss was when he wasn't getting the ball and his team wasn't winning.
Fast forward to the present. The Titans have lost each of the 4 games Moss has played in. He has only been targeted 15 times and has 5 catches for 62 yards and no touchdowns- yet he has remained a model citizen in Tennessee. Just last week he joked with the media after practice saying the only thing he cared about was winning ball games. You haven't heard the first story of him being a bad influence on the young receivers.
And now there are apparently rumors floating around that the Titans are going to waive Moss.
Its been floating around for about a week RT @JeffStaffordTN: @hutton1045 Have you heard of any rumors about Randy Moss getting cut soon?
Here's the thing, Randy's time here has been a disappointment through no fault of his own. Little did we know during the bye week where we all watched One Clap (video at the bottom of the post) a million times that a dumpster fire of epic proportions was just around the corner. No one knew that just a couple of weeks later Vince Young was going to throw his pads into the stands and storm out of the postgame team meeting, and Rusty Smith would be starting the next week.
The funny thing is all of these things seem like they would make the perfect situation for Moss to flip out, but he still hasn't. Part of me hopes that the Titans will cut him and give him the chance to go play for a contender. I have been a Randy Moss fan since his days at Marshall. That is why I let myself get overly excited about his acquisition. Now the fan of him in me just wants him to have the chance to make the playoffs, but I hope before he goes he catches a TD pass against the Colts so he has the chance to catch a TD for 4 teams in the same season!
