Tony Brown is headed to the IR with reoccurring problems with the knee he had off-season surgery on. The knee has hampered him all year and been a source of constant aggravation for the coaches, who have tweaked his schedule and workload all year trying to get it rested. Now we just have to hope that the extended time off can fix Brown's knee, or that off-season pat raise is going to be a complete waste. Center (and progeny of Bruce) Kevin Mathews was promoted off the practice squad to back-up new starter Fernando Velasco.
Chris Carter told a Boston sports radio station that Randy Moss is 'full of regret' about forcing his way out of New England. At this point, who the hell could blame him for feeling like that? I respect that Randy wasn't the one who said it, rather it's coming second hand. That's not something that would have happened a few years ago.
Somebody, anybody with credentials call BS on this whole 'it's real tough to get Britt and Moss on the field together' crap. I've never heard such a ridiculous excuse in my life. Name one time you ever saw a team that had two great WRs struggle to get them both on the field together. Just one. Winner gets a million MCM bucks.

Shutdown Corner has an interview with Kevin Mawae, who is certainly making the rounds these days. Here's his take this time on the VY/Fisher/Adams dynamic:
KM: It's unfortunate. You have a player who hasn't shown the maturity that everybody thought he would in his fifth year in the league. An owner that's calling shots above the head coach, and a head coach that's not winning any games. So it's tough to watch, especially coming off the season we had last year and the year before. It's just an unfortunate situation, and something's got to give. Either the coach has got to go or the quarterback's got to go, and I'm not quite sure which one is going to be the one to go."
If nothing else, this weekend's game should help decide who ends up at the bottom of the AFC South.
Gary Kubiak realizes that this won't be the same sorry excuse for an NFL offense his team man-handled a few weeks ago.
