With the 31st Pick in the 2009 MCM Mock Draft....

....the Arizona Cardinals (represented by BBB) select....

LeSean McCoy, RB, Pittsburgh

Its pretty obvious with the saga that is Edgerrin James and the departure of J.J. Arrington, the Cardinals biggest need and target is an every down running back... McCoy is the perfect fit. While he is hard to bring down, he isn't a great between the tackle runner which is great since the Cards don't really like to run between the tackles anyway. He has shown a nice mixture of size and speed, and was very productive even though the opponents knew he was getting the ball. McCoy's biggest asset is his balance, he stays up time after time, he's a strong runner with a good short area burst, can also make guys miss with regularity, smooth runner with good vision, has shown good durability and to be a very good receiver, kind of a poor mans Moreno...

There is really no other logical choice here... Michael Johnson would have an outside chance to fill the void left by the departure of pass rusher Antonio Smith.

The Pittsburgh Steelers selection will end the 2009 MCM Mock draft.  (Sorry for the long delay between postings)
