Yessirey. Still hurts.
Terry McCormick gives Titans fans everywhere a pep talk. As Chris Hope says in the article, winning the Super Bowl is usually a process that's preceded by disappointment for most teams. i don't know how much I actually believe that, but it's good to hear right now.
Here are some links to the Senior Bowl rosters for those looking ahead to the draft. The teams will be coached by Jack Del Rio and Marvin Lewis... both of whom should probably be fired already.
And be sure to check here for excellent and free daily recaps from Senior Bowl Practice. The Senior Bowl shows NFL scouts roughly 1,000 times the amount of valuable information than the combine because coaches get to see how they practice and get a taste for their work ethic all week. The combine is just a perverse beauty pageant mixed with a glorified Presidential Physical Fitness Test.
Paul Kuharsky wants suggestions on the one player the Titans would add if they could add anyone in the league... of course he really means which WR. I think we can all agree that Larry Fitzgerald is the best WR in football right now.
Pro Football Weekly comes through with a blind item that should make them a MCM favorite:
The way we hear it, it will be a surprise if the Titans don’t look to add at least one younger, faster wide receiver in the off-season [ed. note - pumps fist]. WR Justin McCareins, a free agent, is unlikely to be re-signed, according to a source close to the club.
Apparently Matt Bowen doesn't watch the Titans very much, because this statement on the 'death of the Tampa 2' defense just makes him look dumb:
Plus, Detroit just hired Jim Schwartz from the Tennessee Titans as their new head coach. Last time I checked, the Titans’ defense went after people, so you can forget about playing Tampa 2 in Detroit.
FAIL. We don't didn't run a straight cover 2, but it's pretty close in the philosophy of the front 7 that's for sure. One of the things the coaches liked about Tulloch over Fowler was Tully's ability to make that deep drop MLBs have to make in the Tampa 2.
