Open Debate: Chris Henry

There has been a lot of debate about Chris Henry ever since the Titans took him in the 2nd round of last year's draft.  Most of the "experts" dubbed him a "workout warrior" and said the Titans reached for him.  The reaction of the fans was mixed.  It was obvious that he had all of the physical skills to be a good player in this league, but his lack of production in college was a huge red flag.

We aren't really any closer to an answer after his rookie season.  He showed some flashes of being really good, but then he had a lot of carries where he was just running into the backs of the lineman.  He did show some improvement in that he stopped trying to outrun everyone to the corner like he did in preseason, but he still hasn't shown the vision he needs to be a good back.

All of that being said, it is absolutely to soon for the Titans to just give up on him.  You don't spend a 2nd round pick on a guy and then just cast him aside after just one season.  Everyone says players make their most improvement from year 1 to year 2, and hopefully that will be the case with Henry.

It is clear that the Titans have to add a guy to compliment LenDale White.  The only question is whether or not Henry is the guy.  Where do you come down?  Do the Titans need to go ahead and make a contingency plan, or should they give Henry at least through camp to prove whether or not he can play?
