Roster Evaluation: Special Teams

Rob Bironas was the hero of the 2007 season.  He made 35 of his 39 field goal attempts, including an NFL record 8 in one game, on the season.  He also made all 28 of his extra point attempts.  Next year I would like to see the number change to 35 extra points and 28 field goals.

Craig Hentrich had another solid year.  His average was only 42 yards per punt, but he downed 24 inside the 20, and you can always count on him to boom a punt when the Titans are backed up.  He probably doesn't have too many years left, but I think he is the Titans best option for 2008.

The worst part about the Titans special teams in 2007 was the return game, and it was atrocious.  Chris Davis is not a punt returner, and Chris Henry is not a kick returner.  Someone who can actually give the Titans some field position is maybe the 3rd biggest need for next year's team.
