When the Titans Have the Ball this Sunday

This year I am going to break down each game from each side of the ball.  I will give my thoughts and then we can debate them in the comments.  I know that a lot of you know more about this kind of stuff than I do so I would love to hear your thoughts.

The offensive line is going to be the key to this game.  The Jaguars have one of the best front fours in all of football.  They easily have the best 2 defensive tackles in Marcus Stroud and John Henderson.  For the Titans to do anything offensively on Sunday the line is going to have to handle these guys.

On running plays the Titans' offensive line is going to have to be able to push those guys off of the ball.  Henderson and Stroud are big guys who eat up blockers and keep the Jaguars' linebackers free to make plays on the ball carrier.  If the Titans' line can knock Jacksonville's line into the 2nd level it will open up holes for LenDale White and Chris Brown.

On passing plays, which is the strength of this line, the line has to keep the Jags' front four out of the backfield.  If the line can make a solid pocket for Vince Young it will allow him to pick apart a Jaguars secondary that is probably the weak link of their defense.  If the line can keep the front four from getting pressure, it will force the Jags to blitz more people.  That will open more holes in the secondary for Vince to find receivers.

If the Titans' line plays to their full capability the Titans will come out on top in Jacksonville on Sunday.
