Jeff Fisher Signs Contract Extension

As mentioned by theologic in this diary, and by Jim Wyatt in the Tennessean, the Titans and Jeff Fisher have agreed to a contract extension that will keep him here through 2011. The deal is believed to be worth about $6 million a year.

It is good that we can put this behind us. The longer it went unsigned the more Titans' fans started to worry. There were a lot of rumors that Fisher wanted to test the free agent waters. We now know that none of this is going to happen. Fisher will be at the helm for the next 5 years.
