DISCLAIMER: I AM ABOUT TO BEAT THE DEAD HORSE.
I just want everyone to know that going in. This story has been way over talked about but there is one thing that is getting me fired up about it. This is the last comment I am going to make and then we will shelve the Vince suspension talk on the same shelf that has to this point been reserved for that lovable former Titan cornerback.
I am sick of hearing people say that Jeff Fisher should have thought about the fans before suspending Vince. Look, anyone who thinks that Jeff Fisher should be thinking about the fans when making his football decisions doesn't know anything about football. In fact, as soon as Fisher starts making his football decisions based on what the fans are going to think it is time for him to retire and never ever coach again. The only thing Fisher owes the fans is to make decisions that are best for the football team. If a player breaks a rule he has to be punished. Even Vince acknowledged this.
I understand that an NFL preseason game is the biggest ripoff in sports. You have to pay full price for tickets to see the starters play somewhere between a quarter and a quarter and a half. That, in and of itself, is one reason why fans shouldn't be so upset about this. Best case scenario Vince plays 4 series. So you still payed however much money to only get to see him play for about 15 minutes.
Ok, I feel better now. Vince addressed the suspension yesterday after practice and is ready to move on. I am as well. It is Patriots week. Tune in this afternoon to hear my rant about Drew Bennett.
