Paul Williams, WR, Fresno State

Watch the video before proceeding.

If the kid wants to be a receiver he will be a good one in the NFL.  He had 2 older brothers who played D-1 football before he did.  His brother, Curtis, played at Washington and was paralyzed in a game in 2000 against Stanford.  Curtis died 19 months later from complications due to that injury.  A lot of people question if that made him lose the fire to play football.

At 6-1 209 he has the size to play receiver or corner in the NFL.  He runs a 4.41 so his ability is not in question.  Like I mentioned above, if he decides he wants to be a good NFL receiver he will be.

All of the negatives on him really boil down to desire.  He needs to get stronger, run better routes and pick up the plays more quickly.  All of these things can be fixed if he wants them too.

The more I learn about this guy, the more excited I get for what he could be in the NFL.  At the same time, I get a little worried because most guys either have desire to play or they don't.  He hasn't shown that he does to this point.
