Griffin is 6-0 and weighs 195 pounds. He runs the 40 in the high 4.4's. As you can see in the video, he is always around the ball. The video features some nice special teams plays, nice plays in pass coverage and nice plays against the run. He is the same type of player that Blaine Bishop was for this franchise.
Reading the NFL.com page about him excites me. He seems to be a leader who has no problem calling the plays for the secondary. I am always a fan of smart players. That review goes on and on about his ability to be a leader and make adjustments on the field.
Griffin played SS in college but appears to be more fit to play FS in the NFL. That is perfect for the Titans because that is the hole that needs to be plugged. The knock on him as a strong safety is that he isn't good at working through blockers to make plays against the run. The Titans already have a SS that does that very well in Chris Hope. As we have discussed here, he could be moved to CB as well.
I think the kid is going to be a heck of a football player in the NFL.
