It appears the Dolphins are close to releasing Kevin Carter. I think if this does happen the Titans should jump all over it, if he will agree to a reasonable contract.
He is not the same guy talent-wise the Titans traded for in 2001, but it appears he still has some gas in the tank. Carter played in all 16 games for the Dolphins last year and had 5.5 sacks. He would add depth and leadership to a defensive line that desperately needs both. He could help bring along any young defensive ends the Titans take in the draft.
