We are going to refrain from talking about Adam Jones here until something official breaks in the story. The specualtion has worn me out. I don't even want to think about it anymore.
Some receivers ran yesterday at the combine. The guy that probably helped himself the most was Tennessee WR Robert Meachem, who ran a 4.39 40. I think he could be a real possibility at #19.
I am in love with Calvin Johnson. Not only is he 6-5, 235 but he ran a 4.35 40. That is pretty insane. I think he is going to have the biggest impact a rookie receiver has had since Randy Moss. Sometimes I find myself thinking the Titans should give away most of their draft to get him. I know that would be stupid in the long run, but I think he would be the perfect WR for Vince.
Neither Tedd Ginn or Dwayne Jarrett ran because of injuries. They probably just want to do their 40 at their pro day where they have a little more control of the environment. Calvin Johnson didn't workout because he wanted to have more scouts at his pro day for his teammates. I thought that was pretty cool. We will continue to keep an eye on the combine results as they come in.
