the guy that will bring a Super Bowl Championship to Tennessee. Check out this article in today's Tennessean. It is nice to see the Tennessean take at least a small section and dedicate it to something other than the QB of the Colts. (I will no longer speak his name on this blog)
Here is my favorite quote from the article:
"If we would have won that last game, I really feel like we would have been in the Super Bowl,'' Young said. "I felt like we were really hot right there as a team.''
I really believe he means this from the bottom of his heart. Sometimes you hear guys say things like this and you think they are just saying it because they think it is what fans want to hear. I don't believe Vince Young ever does this. He thinks he is going to win everytime he steps on the field. It is great to have that attitude and dedication here. The Titans haven't had that since the days of McNair, George and Wycheck.
Is Vince Young going to the Super Bowl?
"That is one of my goals, to do whatever it takes,'' Young said. "Just to get the guys to be motivated like I am, to be their leader in the locker room. I want to be at the Super Bowl, and that is why I am not going to the game (this year), because it hurts so bad right now not being in it.''
Again, I believe he really means this. He even has tickets.
Bears RB Cedric Benson, who was a teammate of Young's at Texas, had this to say about him:
"People love to doubt him, but he'll overcome it all, and handle it," said Bears running back Cedric Benson, who played with Young at Texas. "He'll be a Hall of Famer. Not many guys can do what he does. He can win games by himself, and not many quarterbacks can do that. The ones that have are in the Hall of Fame.''
Every time I read a story about VY I get more excited that he is the Titans QB.
