The Titans Have a GM

It is now closer to official than ever.  According to Paul Kuharsky of The Tennessean, the Titans have agreed to terms with Mike Reinfeldt.  It is expected to be "officially" announced sometime this afternoon.

One interesting part in the article mentions Reinfeldt will be hiring a salary cap specialist.  This flies in the face of my theory that Fisher will be given pretty much absolute power.  Maybe Reinfeldt truly will hold the same responsibilities Floyd Reese did during his tenure with the Titans.

The focus now shifts to signing Jeff Fisher to an extension.  Fisher's deal was on the back burner during the GM search.  Hopefully the extension will be worked out quickly so the focus can move to free agency and the draft.

Welcome to Nashville, Mike.  May your reign be long and filled with Lombardi Trophies.
