Tennessee Titans Afternoon News: Chris Hope Out for the Year

The Titans have announced today that Chris Hope will miss the rest of the season with an injury to his spinal cord.  It is an injury that could require surgery, but the Titans do not consider it to be career threatening.

"After numerous studies and opinions, Chris Hope's season is over,'' Fisher said. "The doctors don't feel it is safe for him to finish the season. It is not a career-ending injury by any means.

"We are going to continue to evaluate it. He may heal up as a result of rest, and we have not ruled out surgery as a possibility.''

Spinal cord injuries are never a good thing, but it is good to hear that they think he will play again.  Calvin Lowry has filled in for Hope since he went down and will continue to do so.

The only good news out of this is that the Titans promoted Biren Ealy from the practice squad to the 53 man roster.

Albert Haynesworth did not practice again today and will be a game time decision.  He did do some conditioning work on his own.  Terry McCormick just said on the radio that he thinks it is 50/50.  That makes me really, really nervous.

Brandon Jones did not practice today and will not play.  Benji Olson and Tony Brown both practiced and both should play.
