OFFENSE
Chris Brown and LenDale White should both have good games on the ground today. The Titans will look to establish the ground game early and often.
Vince Young will need to hit some throws early to keep the Falcons defense honest. The Falcons will come out and try to make Vince beat them.
The Titans will need a receiver to step up and catch those throws that Vince is going to make. Brandon Jones, Roydell Williams, and Chris Davis are going to need to continue to come on as this season goes along.
As always, protecting the ball will be very important. The Falcons have struggled on offense this year. Giving them a short field will just help them find a rhythm.
DEFENSE
The front 4 needs to pressure Joey Harrington. He is only good if he has time to throw. If the Titans get in his face early it will cause him to make some bad throws.
The Falcons have a couple of good running backs in Warrick Dunn and Jerious Norwood. The Titans front 7 will need to stop those guys so the secondary can stay back and play the pass.
The defense needs to force some turnovers to give the Titans some quick scoring chances. This will help the Titans get a lead and make the Falcons offense one dimmensional. That will bode well for the Titans because they will be able to send blitzers to pressure Harrington.
This is a key game for the Titans. Their are certain teams that the Titans need to beat and the Falcons are one of them. It will not be a push-over game, but if the Titans play well they will win. Be sure and join us here for the game. We have had some good discussion going during the games this season.
GO TITANS!!
