NFL Draft Changes

The NFL announced today that they will shorten the length of time each team has to make their pick in the 1st and 2nd rounds.  Each team will now have 10 minutes, instead of 15 minutes, in the 1st round and 7 minutes, instead of 10 minutes in the 2nd round.  This was a much needed change as last year's 1st round was 36 hours long.

They also decided to only do 2 rounds on the 1st day of the draft and move the starting time back to 2 p.m. central.  The time between picks will remain 5 minutes for rounds 3 through 7.

This will make watching the draft a whole lot easier than it has been the last few years.  It was really hard to sit there and listen to Chris Berman's nonsense for an entire Saturday.
