With the 18th Pick in the 1998 NFL Draft the TN Oilers Select...

Kevin Dyson WR Utah.

This draft is one of the most famous of all time as it featured the Peyton Manning vs. Ryan Leaf debate.  Think about how different the Colts would be right now if they would have taken Leaf.  That would be nice.

Here is the entire Oilers draft from 1998:

1st Round

Pick #16 Kevin Dyson WR

2nd Round

Pick #46 Samari Rolle CB

3rd Round

Pick #77 Dainon Sidney CB

4th Round

Pick #77 Joe Salave'a DT

5th Round

Pick #139 Benji Olson G

6th Round

Pick #168 Lee Wiggins DB

7th Round

Pick #205 Jimmy Sprotte LB
Pick #229 Kevin Long C

That is a pretty solid draft by the Titans.  Kevin Dyson will obviously go down in history for this play:

Dyson was the first receiver taken in this draft.  Of course you know this draft is also the one where a bunch of teams passed on Randy Moss.  (He went 21st to the Minnesota Vikings)  The Titans were the only team who actually took a receiver in front of him.  I don't think this was a bad decision as Moss would not have fit in with the culture of the team at that time.  The only other receivers of note in this draft were the greatest blocking receiver of all time Hines Ward, Corey Bradford and product-of-the-system Az Hakim.

Samari Rolle was a pillar of the defenses for the Titans during the playoff runs, Benji Olson is still a member of the offensive line, Kevin Long was the starting center for the Super Bowl team and Salave'a and Sydney were solid contributors.

This draft gets an A-.
