Wednesday's SB Nation Mock Draft Picks
I was in Chicago watching my Cubs get kicked by the Brewers yesterday. That is why there were no updates to the site. I am back today, and here is what happened in the SB Nation mock draft yesterday:
With the 6th pick the New York Jets selected Glenn Dorsey, defensive tackle, LSU. It is pretty amazing that 4 of the first 6 picks in this mock are defensive lineman. There is a great possibility that Dorsey is the best player in this draft. If he does fall to the Jets at 6 they could be getting a steal.
With the 7th pick the New England Patriots selected Leodis McKelvin, cornerback, Troy. McKelvin is a logical choice for the Patriots with the loss of Asante Samuel.
With the 8th pick the Baltimore Ravens selected Matt Ryan, quarterback, Boston College. Ryan is one of the more interesting players in this draft. He will go in the top 10, but I have no idea which teams will actually take him.
That is what was done on Wednesday. I will keep you updated on the happenings today. Also, as was mentioned in a diary, a lot of other sites are doing their own mock drafts. Those drafts are something they have put together with the readers of their site. If any of you have an interest in doing this, let me know. If we can get 15-20 people to participate by taking a team, making their pick and giving a couple paragraphs as to why that was the pick, we can make it work. If you are interested leave the team you would like to pick for in the comments.

Jimmy, you're a Cubs fan?!
I'm a die-hard Houston Astros fan, so I'll try to limit my ragging of your guys to many days when El Caballo, the Wiz of Os and Berkman are torching ya!

oh. Baseball. No thanks, I think I'll pass.
Baseball is the "your grandmother's fruitcake" of sports, to me.

MCM Mock Draft
I was born in SD and have been a long-time Chargers fan. I follow the team pretty closely and would actively LIKE to pick for them in the mock draft. As I've said before, the current tenor of the Chargers' team isn't my favorite (I was much more a fan of Marty-Ball and its successes/failures), but I'll still be a Bolts fan 'til the day I die.
As for the Jets and Giants... I live in the area. I'm probably more of a casual Jets fan than I am a casual Giants fan--by virtue of the fact that my main teams are both in the AFC--but it's like cultural immersion. I can't get away from it, especially this year. With that said, I'd be happy to defer to others with actual interst in either of the NYC teams on their picks.

not a bigamist...
I was a HUGE Montana fan as a youngster: I had/have everyone of his football cards from every major card company over about a 6 year period, read the biographies and followed the man religiously... even in KC. The Jets thing is a probably a product of my affection for the underdog. How ever, you'll never hear me say "my Jets" or "us" when referring to them: I'm married to the Titans.

Its all good
That being said, I'd really like to pick for the Titans!

In case you missed that
I'd also pick for Denver or Minnesota. Somehow I always end up watching Denver games, don't ask me why, I just find them interesting for some reason. As for Minnesota, I watched pretty much every game thanks to Adrain Peterson. My son and I love watching him play. I feel like Barry Sanders is back in the league. I want to watch cuz I feel if I don't, I really might miss something great.
I would also be willing to pick for Jax,Indy, and Houston. You guys probably wouldn't want that though, it might ruin the seriousness of the draft. LOL

I could pick for Denver
Will trades be allowed? Denver at #12 will not get good value for their positions of need (DT, OL, WR/returner, LB).

Shouldn't you
I don't think you should be able to just make a name on our blog to come pick for your team in our mock. Just my opinion, no hard feelings.

Thats fine
And I thought it seemed like we had a lot of people offering to draft for 1-3 teams.
Also, as was mentioned in a diary, a lot of other sites are doing their own mock drafts. (Those drafts are something they have put together with the readers of their site).
I must have just misunderstood what you meant by that. Sorry, will never happen again.
