Oakland Raiders Acquire DeAngelo Hall

The Oakland Raiders are close to completing a deal for Falcons cornerback DeAngelo Hall.  The Raiders are sending their 2nd round pick to the Falcons. The only thing holding up the trade is the Raiders and Hall agreeing on a contract.

I doubt the Titans are really in the market for a corner, even if they should be.  Giving up a 2nd round pick to get a guy of Hall's caliber is a steal and the first smart thing the Raiders have done in years.

He is the
most overrated CB in the NFL in my opinion. He gets toasted on the regular, and he's got the attitude of a 4 year old bratty girl and the mouth of a 14 year old spoiled teenager. They can have him! He cries when he gets blocked, just ask Courtney Roby.

totally agree
hall is just the wrong kind of guy for our D.  too much mouth, too much pout, not nearly enough game.  titans need to keep adding character, effort guys, not loud, overrated guys.

How many DBs will they put on the field?
7-8? They have been at or near the top of the league the past two years in passing yards allowed per game, and passing touchdowns allowed per game. I think their secondary has been widely regarded as the strength and one bright spot on the team. My initial reaction: "silly spending," but for their sake let's hope salary cap purgatory doesn't creep up and set the team back another 5 years. (And we all know that sting).

Salary cap?
What salary cap?

I think Al Davis is praying for an uncapped year in 2010.

Otherwise, the Raiders will be SCREWED in a few years.

Deal Stalls!
I just read on NFL.com that the Raiders/Falcons deal has stalled.

Raiders are insane
The Raiders have signed so many huge contracts this year they are doomed to suffer terrible cap issues.

what a dysfunctional organization...

Al Davis simply...
wants to win a Superbowl before he kicks the bucket.  He's such a shady businessman that he doesn't care what happens when he is gone.  They haven't won one since they blew out the skins 25 years ago.  The man is freakin 78 years old and losing his mind.....
