Alge Crumpler To Visit the Tennessee Titans Next Week

The Tennessean is reporting that former Falcons tight end Alge Crumpler will visit Nashville sometime in the coming week. Titans' GM Mike Reinfeldt said the meeting with Crumpler yesterday went well:

"We met with him here a little bit (Friday) and he's probably going come to Nashville in the next week," General Manager Mike Reinfeldt said at the NFL Scouting Combine. "I would think we would be competitive and I think he is looking more for the right fit at this point in time - the right city, the right team, a playoff potential team. That's more what he's looking for."

Signing Crumpler would automatically make the Titans passing game so much better than it was last season. Stay tuned this week to see how the visit here goes.

The above article also mentions that the Titans are expected to cut David Givens this week because he is due a big roster bonus. It is unbelievable how much bad luck the Titans have when it comes to signing wide receivers.

Yep

That would be the best addition to our overall offense next year. I would love for him to come to the Titans. As for Givens, feel bad for the guy, but we do need to cut him.
