You are right sir!  And THAT is what makes this site soooo much better than the other one.  Informed opinions spoken by intelligent fans make for entertaining discourse.

I pretty much agree with you Jimmy except for the 3 draft picks over 2 years.  I would rather pay up for  an FA for a short contract and give the guy incentives, like the Pats did with Moss, than screw up the future of the team.

I definitely think Gage can be signed for a good number.  He has to be much happier in TN where he gets some balls.

Agreed on the Laboy - get him cheap or let him walk.  He is fragile but good.

We need to shore up the D-Line and get some pass rushers to make the line dominant.  After that it is weapons for VY.  I would love to take a TE if we can find a playmaker.

 i am mike reinfeldt i would have a sit down with fisher and say well fish we have got to have you talk to swartz about his prevent defence towards the ends of the games.  i would make fisher tell swartz to send blitzes alot more often. all this prevent defence with no pressue gives the qwaterbacks all day to make catches and our guys are not that good yet to cover marvin harrision for 10 seconds due to no pressue
  then i would say hey fish why dont you ask the players if they want punkman back and see what they say.  if fish does and they say bring him back  do so if they say let him go hes a punkass let him go
 then i would say to bud adams we need to get albert a long term deal or franchie him this year to see how he preforms and if he does well get him a long term deal for the next several years
  i would not trade any picks of the draft for a good receiver i would try to get a good one in the draft with the number one then with the number two get a tighend that can catch and block
  then i would sign odem and laboy back or draft somebody but preferbally get odem back hes pretty good.   i would let randy starks go but get brown to stick around. i think brown got an extension of his contract so he will be here so i dont see such a pressing need for a defensive linemen in the draft like some of you think if we do indeed get odem and laboy back.
  then i would say to fisher what do you need to make this team better and listen to whatever fish says and go with it cus hes the man.  thats what i would do if it where me as the GM.
  i am a big fan of punkman i know alot of you hate him and want to see him burn at the stake but i do enjoy watching him play for us and would like to see him do it again but with all the let downs i dont know if there is to much water under the bridge to bring him back and have team  unity. it may split them apart bringing him back just like it spilts us cus some of us what him back and other want him in jail. just my two thoughts about punkman and i would think if he does come back and contributes  and gets along with the other players we will all be happy.  packman didnt pull the trigger that paralized that guy  somebody else did.  maybe he knew the guy that did it but he personally didnt pull the trigger so i dont know why he is in so much trouble.  its like if i get into a car and dont know the guy driving has been drinking and the driver kills somebody  am i to blame?    
 also the court in tenn said he has been punished enough and that should tell us something that there is no credence to all these chumped up charges that you all belive  are true.  its a mole hill blown up into a mountain by the press cus hes a superstar and if you want to loose a great player on the field to rumors and hersay whatever go for it.   that said iam sure we will trade him away now but i will always be a packman fan and will always watch the team he plays for cus i would be wishing it was for us when hes gone.

I'd stick to with what Jimmy laid out but I'd pursue some players like Shaun Rogers or Chris Jenkins for DT and Jeremy Shockey or Alge Crumpler for TE. These guys are supposeldy up for trade and if we can get any at a good value why not do it. As far as the draft comes I'd like any of these guys as our first pick Malcom Kelly, Limas Sweed, or Lawrence Jackson(Only if we don't resign Odom).
