Joe Gibbs to Resign as Coach of the Washington Redskins
The Associated Press is reporting that Joe Gibbs will step down today as coach of the Washington Redskins. Gibbs did a remarkable job of leading his team to the playoffs this season and leading them through the tragedy of the Sean Taylor's death.
Former Titans' defensive coordinator Greg Williams seems to be the logical choice to replace Gibbs. There was a rumor that he had some type of clause in his contract that he would be given the job whenever Gibbs left.

Joe Gibbs--classy guy.
I'm glad Gibbs is hanging it up. It didn't look like he was having fun out there this year. But I'm also glad he had the talent and the tenacity to save his beloved franchise. And he did that, make no mistake.
With that said, G. Williams definitely deserves another shot to be a head coach, especially since the Bills are STILL underachieving, probably with more talent now than they had when they had Williams as head coach.
