OFFENSE

The 1st team offense has not scored a TD yet this preseason.  The Titans need to come up with some kind of offensive rhythm.  That obviously starts with Vince Young.  Look for him to look a lot better this week than he did in his preseaon debut.

LenDale White is a game time decision.  Chris Brown will most likely get the start if LenDale cannot go.  This is a crucial moment for LenDale.  If he plays tonight and plays well, I think he is the starter in week 1.  If doesn't and Brown runs well, Brown will be the starter against the Jags.

DEFENSE

The Titans front 4 has looked good so far this season.  They also haven't faced the #1 back on either team they have played.  Tonight they should get a heavy dose of rookie Marshawn Lynch who is having a great camp.  Tonight's game should be a pretty good indicator of where that unit really is.

It will be interesting to see who starts in the secondary tonight.  Michael Griffin has run a lot with the 1st team this week.  He could get the start opposite Nick Harper tonight.  It will be interesting to watch him if he gets matched up with Lee Evans.  Lamont Thompson is probably going to get the start at free safety.  It is looking more and more like he is going to be the starter in week 1.  We should all pray that our pass rush is much improved if that is the case.

Enjoy the game tonight.

game day!!!!
First, nice game thread Jimmy.  Looking better and better for each one...I don't know why, but I really like the weather info, even though I know I am more than capable of checking the buffalo weather myself...I'm just lazy!  Thanks!  Weather is such a big part of football...for instance, I had no idea it was rainy in New England last week until Eddie George was talking about it before the game...and boy did the weather affect our 1st team offense...

Unfortunately, I have to miss this game tonight, due to a work related get-together at the famous Rendezvous BBQ joint in downtown Memphis.  Dry Ribs rule!  They better have the freaking game on the TV set or I'm not tipping...hahaha

So, I'm sad to say I won't be at the computer during the game.  But I look forward to hearing everyone's in-game commentary and observations...

Jimmy, will you be watching live this week or recording it for later?

White...whatever you have been doing on game days previously...keep doing it...our D-Line has some good Karma associated with them right now and we need it to keep up...and I placing you in charge of funneling that good Karma from North Dakota to Buffalo...hahaha

my predictions...which are pretty positive...

-Vince has an up and down game, but does throw 1 TD....and Bo Scaife will catch the TD
-Our 1st team offense will score 2 total TD's...both in the 1st half...the running TD will be from LenDale White, who will have a big game...
-Our defense will play really well tonight and not allow any 1st half TD's...
-No major injuries...

And for anyone living in West Tennessee...the game is being broadcast on WMCTV Channel 5 (the NBC affiliate) and on the radio at 98.1 the Max...

I think
I will be watching it live.  I don't think we have any plans for tonight, but I don't fight plans for preseason games.  You have to pick your battles.

pick your battles
i hear that...

i got 2 weeks to do as many house/yard chores and honey-dos as possible, so I can "earn" my way to sitting on the couch on Sunday's from noon to 11pm for the rest of the fall/winter...

You might
want to play lotto Zack! That was pretty accurate. Not exact, but pretty damn close.

Well?
How is it going? I can't only track it on nfl.com. but can't watch it

Not live.
Looks like the game wasn't broadcast live. It's on now. Offense hasn't looked bad on the first drive. Great play to Chris Brown... I am liking him more.

only saw the game cast but..
Passing     CP/AT      YDS      TD      INT
V. Young    13/19    162    1    0

Rushing     CAR     YDS     TD     LG
L. White    11    51    0    17

...another rushing TD for Vince, and a hell of a two minute drill to close it out.

Haven't been able to watch it either, but I think we have a starter in LenDale White. I'm going to enjoy my optimism even if it is the Bills.

Just curious,
is there something I don't know? Why no carries for C.Henry at all? is he hurt or something?

Obviously haven't
been paying enough attention.

Sorry
my internet was down for most of the night.  The team looked good.  I will have a recap tomorrow.  Henry hurt his hamstring.

Yeah,
I figured that out. I was just wondering why they wouldn't give him any carries. Didn't even realize he was hurt till later on.

Looks
Like the Front 4 were able to apply pressure most the night and were keyed in on the run.

don't know about you guys.  But I'm starting to let myself get a tad excited over these guys.

First the skins, then the pats, and now the bills.  decent group of O-lines too.

hmmm
I didnt care much for the long strikes to Price and Evans. I think Price was being covered by Harper and Evans by Griffin.

Long strikes
The long passes were a bit disturbing, but the announcers said that Fisher wanted to purposely leave the corners out on an island tonite. Plus, after the deep throw to Price, we held them to a FG. Griffin is a rookie so he has an excuse; he held Evans pretty well otherwise. Eddie George gave him a B-. Harper is a vet... so umm... maybe the Finnegan/Griffin campaign will pick up some steam.

The throw to Evans
was just a great play by Evans combined with a rookie mistake by Griffin.  As soon as Losman through the ball Evans did a little hesitation move and Griffin stopped.  Evans then took off and Griffin was just beat.  That comes from inexperience of playing corner.  He will learn from that.

Plus, like theologic said, Griffin had no safety help over the top all night.
