Vince's leadership never ceases to amaze me. Jim Wyatt has a great article this morning about Vince flying some of the receivers down to Houston to work out. He paid all of there expenses. All you really need to know is this quote from Brandon Jones:

"And he wasn't going to take no for an answer," receiver Brandon Jones said. "At first I was like, 'I can't get down there until Wednesday,' and he was like, 'No, no, get your butt down here.' Everybody had to put their excuses aside and we are now here and having fun and working.

"Vince thought it would be a good idea to keep working, and it's definitely beneficial in a number of ways."

The guy really understands what it takes to succeed in this league, and he is willing to do whatever it takes to get that done. He isn't out making it rain or going back for thirds at the Golden Corral like some other members of the Titans. He is trying to make himself and his teammates better.

That is why Vince Young is going to win championships. All of the detractors can throw around there stats about why Vince isn't there yet. That is fine. He is there and it won't be long before every one realizes that greatness isn't always measured only on a stats sheet.

I've always been of the belief that nobody acutally lived in North Dakota....it was just another gov't conspiracy to trick us into thinking that while they used the land for some alien-military base...

but hey, with the climate change we are seeing, I guess North Dakota is looking better and better each year...

You know...

everybodys saying that defenses will catch on to Vince and he might not do as well as he did last year, I beg to differ. Vince's TD/INT ratio will vastly improve and he will will have more yards in the passing game. I'm getting so tired of hearing these "experts" continue to knock him.

in mind that these same experts will be breaking down why Vince is doing so well when he is doing well.

Sports reporting is pretty much just entertainment these days.

I couldn't agree more

The talking heads are only about ratings these days. Case and point: John Kruk did an interview on a radio station about Baseball Tonight. They were picking who they thought would be the division winners. The producers told him that he had to pick the Pirates in the Central because it would add controversy.

That is what is so much fun about doing this blog. I just get to say what I think, and then discuss it with everyone else. It is much more enjoyable this way.

this same type of thing at UT in 2005. He basically told everyone that they needed to show up for 6 on 6 practices by taunting them with victories over ohio st. By the end of the summer, he had the whole team out there - not an easy task in Austin's 101+ degree August weather.
