McGahee Traded to the Ravens

The Ravens struck a deal for Buffalo Bills RB Willis McGahee today.  They gave up 3 picks to get him,  a 3rd and 7th this year and a 3rd next year.

I think that is a good deal for the Ravens because they were in desperate need of a RB.  I think that was a price the Titans were not willing to pay considering they have LenDale on the roster.  The Titans are again just sitting and watching other teams make moves.  I still think they have been smart up to this point.

I'll
take my chances with Lendale.

rb situation
First, I'll say that every NFL team now needs 2 good RB's...

right now we have 1...

I would have preferred we keep Henry...but he is gone, so we have to move on...

of the vets that were/are FA's and/or up for trade, I preferred McGahee...I have always really liked him as a RB...enough so I would have gave up what Baltimore did to get him...

but with that said, I'm also fine with LenDale being our #1 guy...

And I don't want the backup to be Chris Brown...

Although I'm not sure what I now would like to be done with the 2nd RB position, one idea I am throwing around is:

drafting Irons from Auburn, in say the 3rd round

What do you guys think of him?

Kenny
would be a solid pick.  He comes from a program that has produced good RB's.

I love
Kenny Irons, and would love to see him come here.  I would also like to see M.Bush fall to us in the 3rd rd., it seems like a lot of the other teams are filling RB depth through FA and trades so that just helps us get better value later in the draft.  I do doubt Bush would fall to us that late though.

I don't
think so. I think he was probably putting off running as long as possible after that injury.

psssss, the experts aren't real big on the rb's available this year (except Adrian) and because of the FA they are plentiful ..

hope it's a good evening ..

Well
we can obviously forget about Peterson.  The only guys that really excite me at all are Lynch, Irons, Pittman and Bush.  I don't know that any of those guys will be there in the 3rd round.

I think Irons is a gamer and may be one of those guys that people will be kicking themselves for not taking.
