This is another must win game for the Titans.  The Titans will know the outcome of the Browns and Bengals game when they take the field.  Hopefully the Bengals will get a win and inspire the Titans to take it to the Jets.  I won't be around for most of the day because of family Christmas festivities.  I should be able to check back in at some point during the 2nd half of the Titans game.  Get the discussion going here as always.

GO BENGALS and TITANS!!

Update [2007-12-23 7:58:12 by Jimmy]: The Tennessean is reporting that the Titans have released Chris Barclay to make room for Chris Henry on the roster. It also says that Henry will return kicks today, and Chris Davis will return punts. (That is a lot of Chris's) I am not sure how much I like that move considering Davis cannot hold on to the ball, and Henry didn't have much success when he returned kicks before.

What they're saying
Looking through some Jets blogs, the debate seems to be whether the Jets will play hard for Mangini after the let-down of last week's loss to New England. There's also the concession that the Titans D (Haynesworth & KVB especially) will dominate and not allow NY to score many points.

so if the Bengals win...
And we win.. are we in lead for the wild card?

by ElectricScissors on Dec 23, 2007 1:46 PM CST reply actions

i have the same qwestion
if the bengals win which it looks like is going to happen and the titans win do the titans go to the playoff? or do the titans  have to win again next week against indy?

by dentureboy on Dec 23, 2007 1:51 PM CST reply actions

have to...
Titans have to win this week and next to have any shot at the playoffs.  If Cle loses to Cincy or Pit to Bal, and the Titans win out, then the titans are in.

by gotitans27 on Dec 23, 2007 1:58 PM CST reply actions

no not yet
they have to win next week too then a different tie breaker comes in to play

by jtc2086 on Dec 23, 2007 1:59 PM CST reply actions

It's all on us now..... LETS GO TITANS

by Titans Fan 10 on Dec 23, 2007 3:06 PM CST reply actions

KVB
That was a nice little changeup. Putting KVB at Linebacker. I would like to see Schwartz throw more wrinkles like that out there.

by theologic on Dec 23, 2007 3:30 PM CST reply actions

Out defense
We're looking good so far on defense. Our offense needs to get going so that we can go ahead and put the Jets away.

by theologic on Dec 23, 2007 3:37 PM CST reply actions

why...
not try a FG there, it would of only been 51 yards?

by gotitans27 on Dec 23, 2007 3:44 PM CST reply actions

Run The Ball
EVERY PLAY! And not out of shotgun

by Big Bad Bulluck on Dec 23, 2007 3:44 PM CST reply actions

what the!?!
Wow... way to go Hill... I just... I am speechless.

by theologic on Dec 23, 2007 3:46 PM CST reply actions

Ugh..
Don't give this one away.

by CoryC123 on Dec 23, 2007 4:24 PM CST reply actions

what the f are we doing letting this terrible team
stay close.  Pick it up, we have something to play for!

by nvemvp23 on Dec 23, 2007 4:25 PM CST reply actions

wow if we can't beat jets easily
we will lose the first game of playoff

by LastSd on Dec 23, 2007 4:28 PM CST reply actions

7-6 at half.. should be 7-12..
We need to pick it up in the second half.. A lot..

by CoryC123 on Dec 23, 2007 4:33 PM CST reply actions

Yup, a pretty lame performance
From the offense at least.  What happened to Lendale?  That was the one thing that was working well offensively in the first half.

The Jets are desperately trying to lose this game, but the Titans aren't cooperating.

by numbertenox on Dec 23, 2007 4:40 PM CST reply actions

omg
don't we get pinned within our own 5 yard line like two times a game!?

by ElectricScissors on Dec 23, 2007 5:18 PM CST reply actions

our offense
looks so sloppy and at some times lucky... why can't we ever just have a dominating offensive performance.

by ElectricScissors on Dec 23, 2007 5:22 PM CST reply actions

I'm really looking forward..
To this team getting a big number 1 to add to the Roydell & Gage combo.. This passing attack could really get pretty good.

by CoryC123 on Dec 23, 2007 5:22 PM CST reply actions

I'd rather
See the #1 go on a defensive tackle.  WR I'd like to see added in free agency and late rounds.  WRs too much of a gamble in the draft.  Year after year guys picked up in the seventh round at WR surprise pundits.

by numbertenox on Dec 23, 2007 5:40 PM CST up reply actions

The Titans...
are looking far from a playoff team.....again

by gotitans27 on Dec 23, 2007 5:31 PM CST reply actions

2 minutes left....
c'mon defense as it's been all season it's on your shoulders!!!!

by Titans Fan 10 on Dec 23, 2007 5:52 PM CST reply actions

GAME OVER
way to go Tony Brown

by Titans Fan 10 on Dec 23, 2007 5:53 PM CST reply actions

It was tough
but we got it Cory...

by Titans Fan 10 on Dec 23, 2007 5:54 PM CST reply actions

Not the prettiest game for sure..
Lets just hope our previous success against the Colts shows up again..
