NFL Power Rankings Time
I didn't get a chance to do this last week because of the holiday. Let's see how far our Tennessee Titans have tumbled.
Now for the power rankings.
On five drives against the Bengals, the Titans entered the red zone. Three times they had goal-to-go situations. And yet they couldn't find the end zone. It'll be one of their many regrets if they don't make the playoffs.
After starting the season off as one of the league's great surprises, the Titans lost their third straight game on Sunday. Tennessee struggled to get anything going against the woeful Cincy defense, while giving up 35 points in the loss. The same week that news of a reported altercation between sidelined defensive leader Albert Haynesworth and Pacman Jones hit the wires, the D gave up 28 points or more for the third straight week. Vince Young sat on the bench by himself after the game, his head in his hands. He explained to reporters after the game, "Thoughts, man, just thoughts, trying to see what's going on, what's the problem, what we need to do to get back to where we need to be at. Why is this all of a sudden happening to us, going back to that bad feeling that we had last year with getting our butt whooped?" The Titans finished the '06 season as one of the best teams in the league. They've been the complete opposite down the stretch this year.
The Titans dropped their third game in a row, this time losing at Cincinnati. Tennessee's defense hasn't been the same without Albert Haynesworth. And if he doesn't come back soon, Tennessee may not make the playoffs; something they were on pace to do with flying colors just a few weeks ago.
Ugh. The Titans are battling for their playoff lives, yet they've dropped three straight, including the most recent loss to Cincinnati. Against the league's most pitiful defense, Vince Young & Company couldn't even get in the endzone.
They got caught in a tough situation against the Bengals, a short week and back-to-back road games. They need to turn it around this week against the Texans.
Vince Young does a whole lot of nothing against the Bengals' awful pass defense, and Tennessee suffers a major blow in Cincy.
The Texans won't make it easy for the Titans to stop their free fall.
No commentary.
In a champagne room somewhere, Pacman smiles.

I'm not
We lost games to teams like the Jag's, Denver in Denver on monday night, and then had a short week and had to go on the road again in Cinny.
It's not like we are the packers and in the NFC where an 8-8 Record will win you a division.
Denver isn't an easy place to play not to mention on a Monday night. Jag's are a tough team and Cinny can very well light up a score board at anytime.
Does a veteran elite team win those games? Yes they do. But is it possible for a young team learning to win to lose those, hell yeah!
I think the Texans at home are Exactly what we need. A division game at home to get pumped up for.
If we lose this game and lose it big then I'll really start to worry

forcast , partly cloudy
hopefully albert will be back but iam kind of worried about cris hope being out with that new qwaterback for the texans he seems pretty good.
i watched the new england game and it seemed they threw the ball like on every down and ended up winning the game with no backs in the back field just like the run and shoot. why cant we throw the ball more like they do? imatate the partiots offence if nothing else is working why not. i know jeff fisher ball is smash mouth but when steve mcnair was starting out i think he started in the run and shoot offence and they where pretty good but i may be wrong. i know warren moon was the run and shoot guy but i dont know if mcnair played much cus when jack pardee left and jeff fisher came in i think they changed offenses and scrapped the run and shoot. hell we know vince can run and he can shoot that ball down there and the offence is mostley run out of the shot gun like vince likes and played alot of at texas.
anybody remember when buddy ryan was the defensive cordinator. the 46 defence. i mean people where comming on every down all they did was blitz and the qwaterbacks from the other teams where running for their lifes. thats what we need todo to payton bring everybody and scrap this prevent defence cus if payton is back there and has time he will pick you apart with teh underneath stuff. i would try the 46 more and then i would throw the ball alot more.
lendale cant get it done seems like i wish they would start cris brown. what is he anyway the black sheep of the team. hes always done well but hes always at the back of the line up? always talking about trading him away next year cus hes no good. hes good in my opinon. he gets dinged up alot but he should be ahead of lendale. i guess they put lendale in there so he can gain experiece cus hes the furture back but if hes the furture we wont have much of a running game for along time to come it seems like. even if he does break it open down field people will catch him cus hes not that fast with the extra weight. jeff fisher needs be frank with him and tell him your future here is dependent on being in shape and put a weight limit on him. i would rather have a fast mobile back then a pounder. i wish we had a back like maruice jones. how did we miss him and hester? i think they all came out of the same draft as lendale.

missed dr z
Albert Haynesworth is a defensive tackle, right? He's not the quarterback, or the coach. So explain, please, why they were 6-2 before his hamstring injury, and 0-3 in his absence, 15.5 average points allowed vs. 31.7, 66 yards rushing allowed per game vs. 160, and offensively, 20.6 average points scored vs. 13. You can't. Neither can I. This is supposed to be a quality team, firm, focused, fierce. So what's up?
