We need to win this game...
somehow I have a feeling that if we lose this one, we would not get to the playoffs.
Go Titans!

Looks like Harper will be active at least..
So we don't have to worry about Hill on Houshmanzadah or #85..
That would be scarey.

ahhhhh
without haynesworth i hope we blitz more to get pressure on palmer. he'll tear us apart if we give him time. the time we blitzed against denver fuller had the sack...

We will win today
I am usually pretty good about predicting how the team will play.  I did not feel comfortable either of the past two weeks, but now I think the team will play with some urgencey.   I think today will be much better.  Look for White and Brown to have nice numbers and for the team to look better.  VY won't be as sharp as he has been the past 2 weeks, but the team will win.  Enjoy!

by gotitans27 on Nov 25, 2007 11:38 AM CST reply actions

Go Titans!
And go Texans!

And go Bills!

BTW, anybody see the Vols yesterday?  If the Vols can pull it out in 4 OTs despite a colossal 2nd half collapse, then I think the Titans will be okay.  No logic there, but I'm going with it.

Ahmard Hall
I am convinced that our problems running the ball are due to Hall being out with injury.

by theologic on Nov 25, 2007 11:49 AM CST reply actions

wow
That was a huge hole. I think Brown would've broken for a larger gain.

by theologic on Nov 25, 2007 12:04 PM CST reply actions

Look at that
Lendale white has no burst on the first carry

by white02slpss on Nov 25, 2007 12:05 PM CST reply actions

Dangit
Why do we always start with a 3 and out?

by theologic on Nov 25, 2007 12:06 PM CST reply actions

Oh well
Time to see what our defense can do.

by theologic on Nov 25, 2007 12:06 PM CST reply actions

Man
He's got all day to throw.

by theologic on Nov 25, 2007 12:09 PM CST reply actions

WTF
That was ridiculous. Our run defense is non-existent without Haynesworth.

by theologic on Nov 25, 2007 12:13 PM CST reply actions

Now
We need to come back and score. Let Vince loose!

our defense sucks again...

we couldn't get pressure on a QB in a wheelchair...

by zackmann on Nov 25, 2007 12:17 PM CST reply actions

Defense
I look Bullock, Thorton and KVB. However, if one guy being out can make our defense so bad...

Nice
That was a nice screen pass. I like this new guy.

Good D
by the Bengals

Bad D by the Titans. we need to plug up those holes on the defensive line because we can't keep up with this double threat run/pass game by the Bengals

by ElectricScissors on Nov 25, 2007 12:28 PM CST reply actions

I'm not saying this now...
because they are stinking, but i am not a fan of Schwartz.  Losing one man should not make this big of a difference, and if it does, then adjust.  This is rediculous!

by gotitans27 on Nov 25, 2007 12:32 PM CST reply actions

You know...
I have to agree with you. Our entire defense shouldn't be based on one guy. I question our scheme and our defensive preparedness.

by theologic on Nov 25, 2007 12:44 PM CST reply actions

I think more than anyone Gage is the real deal.
Roydell seems like he'll turn into a good possession guy, maybe for the slot.
I just think that if B.  Jones doesn't get it together that we're one big play reciever away from a solid core of guys.

Palmer really risked his life on that one.

by theologic on Nov 25, 2007 12:47 PM CST reply actions

Okay
Our defense is starting to step up. We're bringing pressure and now we got the turnover.

by theologic on Nov 25, 2007 12:49 PM CST reply actions

Well
I am not complaining about the call. It was a good run. We always shoot ourselves in the foot tho. If it's not a penalty it's a bad snap.

by theologic on Nov 25, 2007 12:51 PM CST reply actions

i agree..
that it was a good run, but in our regular offense, if we throw on first, we are going to run on second down.  you can take it to the bank

Albert Haynesworth
Deserves Defensive MVP this year.  Our defense looks completely lost without him.  With him on the field, top 5 defense.  W/o him, bottom 5 defense.

by SuperHorn on Nov 25, 2007 1:06 PM CST reply actions

In the game
We're not out of the game yet. We're still in it. Especially if we can score here. Of course... then our defense will have to do something... just anything.

by theologic on Nov 25, 2007 1:08 PM CST reply actions

Lendale
What happened to Lendale's ability to throw a block? I remember him laying that one guy out. This time? Not so good.

by theologic on Nov 25, 2007 1:10 PM CST reply actions

something Positive
to think about!  When Albert comes back and our defense starts performing great again well now we will have an offense to contend with.  Because the offense has really been doing well as of late

one thing i like..
V.Young's passing is improving
and Gage is playing better than i expected him to play (i thought he wouldn't make it pass training camp)

all this 3rd down conversion

by theologic on Nov 25, 2007 1:50 PM CST up reply actions

Fisher needs..
to get control of this team.  lendale white should be done for the day, that was stupid by scanlon.  it's time toughen up

umm if we are gonna kick 34

Realization
Watching this, I am beginning to come to the realization that we will not make the playoffs this year.

Honestly, I am not that upset about it. We need to focus on improving. Making the playoffs in itself isn't going to make us a better team.

Madden it is. Let me know if anything interesting happens.

by theologic on Nov 25, 2007 2:04 PM CST up reply actions

i Swear to the man
this is the worst red zone team i've ever seen.

by oz615 on Nov 25, 2007 2:04 PM CST reply actions

many of us weree talking about how poorly the team was playing and others were like "geez, we're 6-2, quit complaining".  This is why we were worried, this team has not been good all season.  Good enough to win several times, but not a good team.  We were fortunate to beat Houston, Atlanta, and Oakland the way we played.  Those teams are not that good...unfortunately, neither are the Titans.

by gotitans27 on Nov 25, 2007 2:06 PM CST reply actions

I disagree
We had a good defense, which kept the games close.

That made up for a struggling offense and a lack of TDs.

Our defense was what made us a good team. Without that we're really just a struggling offense.

by theologic on Nov 25, 2007 2:09 PM CST up reply actions

our defense
was playing well, but they weren't playing good teams.  We played aginst Backup QB's for HOU, ATL, CAR, OAK, and JAX.  Haynesworth is a difference maker, yes, but we have not been sharp all season

by gotitans27 on Nov 25, 2007 2:13 PM CST up reply actions

I completely agree
The secondary has been suspect all year.  But, with Albert and KVB in the game one was forced to be double teamed which allowed for a strong pass rush.  W/o Albert, everyone looks worse.  In the secondary's defense, they cannot be expected to excel when the quarterback has 7 seconds to pass every freaking play.

The offense has played poorly all year.  The O-line, Bo Scaife, and VInce are the only guys IMO that should be here long term.  Lendale is not he answer and these receivers wouldn't start for any other team in the NFL.

by SuperHorn on Nov 25, 2007 2:13 PM CST up reply actions

What we don't have is
Motivation! Last year Vince came in and motivated this team and it carried over into this year. Albert's play this year motivated the defence. I'm not so sure we can win now even WITH Albert unless someone gets them motivated again. The team is playing flat footed and flat and needs a big spark before they will get going again.

by coler0kw on Nov 25, 2007 2:29 PM CST up reply actions

i don't disagree...
but how can an NFL team that is 6-2, 6-3, 6-4, not be motivated.  I don't get it.  I am a huge Jeff Fisher fan, but he needs to take care of this!

by gotitans27 on Nov 25, 2007 2:34 PM CST up reply actions

Roydell
Should have caught that TD pass.  It was clearly a communication error.  This team would be so dangerous with a deep threat.

As I am typing this, the defense is just giving away plays.  It's like they have already given up...

by SuperHorn on Nov 25, 2007 2:09 PM CST reply actions

This is the first time ever
that I actually have to turn it off.

This is unwatchable.

By the way, Rich Scanlon, you suck.  You are the epitome of the last three weeks.  I don't know if you are trying to be cute or funny or what, but that was the most unnecessary and ridiculous penalty I think I have ever seen!  What do you, as a football player who I am assuming played as a little kid in some kind of peewee league, began to learn the fundamentals of the game in high school and then had the opportunity to hone your craft as a college athlete, think the rule regarding fair catches is intended for?  IT HAS BEEN THE SAME SINCE YOU PLAYED SIX YEAR OLD FOOTBALL JACKASS!!!!!!!!!  He is giving up his right to advance that football in exchange for not being hit. NOT BEING HIT.  What the F--- were you thinking?  That rule has not changed in years!  It does not change as you advance through the ranks of football!  It does not say that "a player who gives a legal fair catch signal agrees to not advance the ball in return for the opportunity to complete the catch without being hit, UNLESS some overpaid jackass who does not deserve to be where he is decides that he will try to be cute and funny and put a shoulder into the receiver and then pull up like we are playing in the backyard. If this occurs the official is to realize that the overpaid jackass who does not deserve to be where he is is just trying to be cute and funny like he is playing in the backyard and not throw the flag."  NO.  JACKASS!

You know what, I can do that.  If that is what we are expecting and putting up with out of our special teams players, sew Ramsey on a jersey and cut me a check.  I can be stupid.  I may be slow and uncoordinated, but I can be stupid enough to hit someone after a fair catch signal.  Sign me up.  Give me a chance to act like an idiot on a ship that is sinking fast.  What makes him so different than me?  And you know the best part about it?

He is still going to get paid this week.  Probably more than most of the people reading this blog make in a month.

Sorry for the rant.

By the way, did anyone else hear Steve Beauaruarualein say "USC thugs" as they came back from commercial early?  Priceless.

Go Titans!

we should pick up good WR in off season and change our offense style

by LastSd on Nov 25, 2007 2:23 PM CST reply actions

Sure looks like they have folded for the season
This almost looks like New England playing Buffalo - Titans aren't even in the same league.  It's very hard to imagine the Titans in the playoffs.  Even if they get over whatever mental block they're having right now (and get big Al back), it's going to be too late most likely.

I knew they were not as good as their record at 6-2, but I sure didn't expect such a complete collapse.

positive??  Anything at all??

We got blown out by San Diego last year, but that was by a team that actually made the playoffs.

Can anyone remember getting thrashed like this by a team that is 3 and 7?

Is this the worst ass whipping of a Titan team?  Maybe not by score, but damn.

Go Titans!

by the way....
our special teams blow too (except bironas)

how do you lose yardage on a punt return and hold!

by gotitans27 on Nov 25, 2007 2:36 PM CST reply actions

Haynesworth really does
make this big of a difference. So many teams have been getting big runs up the middle. That does NOT happen with Albert in the middle. With Albert getting double and triple teams, KVB and Odom/Laboy are let loose. Also, the O'Line does not reach our linebackers, so they go unblocked as well. When haynesworth is in our defense gets off the field quickly, and our offense isn't forced to pass like it has. Albert not being here really starts a chain of unfortunate events. He really is that important. We were winning with haynesworth, depsite only putting up 14 points a game, and now we look miserable without him.

Still, we need a reciever that can be a playmaker for us, and Lendale to never touch the ball again. Fatass is huge, and still can't get a yard on 3rd and short and 3rd and goal situation, then kicks people in the chest. Also, Harper really isn't even good..? Agree anyone? Oh, Scanlon, who are you?!?!?!!?

by titanbt53 on Nov 25, 2007 2:41 PM CST reply actions

anybody got a paper bag ?
who didnt suck on the titans?  why cant we score a touchdown?  why is it norm chows offence never scores a touchdown?    how come jeff fisher cant motivate this team?   how come jeff fisher makes up excusses to cover for the bad play and lack of intensity? why dosnt jeff fisher call the players out when they make bad plays or get a stupid running in to a fair catch penelty?   why is it when iam pulling my hair out and kicking the dog jeff fisher sits there doing nothing but watching a slaughter and when somebody gets a penelty he lets them walk to the sidelines without a word spoken to the player?  whats up with lendales penelty?  why wasnt jeff fisher in his face for being stupid.   if fat ass wouldnt have gotten mad we whould have had a first and goal.  jeff fisher did nothing to repremand fatass iam losing respect for him fisher price that is
if jeff fisher comes out with his post game qwotes covering for the players iam going to change teams or write bud adams a letter.  it all starts at the top and jeff fisher cant get this team movitated maybe a change would be good at the head coach.  maybe if you spend to much time on one team you become a pansy and let the players get away with way to much shit.
this team sucks, lacks intensity,  norm chows offence sucks beyond beleaf, get rid of him along with all his players like lendale that we got talked into taking cus norm chow is on the team and vouched for him.  heres a news flash. norm chow  your offence sucks why would we want any players you recomend?  like this guy from the raiders. like that reciver is going to make an impact?  hell no he wont but since norm chow was his coach at one time we have to bring him in and be victimized by another one of his players. i think norm chow works for the other team really.  i think he was on the bengals payroll this week. i think he does it on pourpose cus thats the only thing i can come up with.
why is everybodys so thinking norm chow is a offensive genius?  he needs to go back to college ball as an assistant like he used to is what i think.  he dosnt belong in the nfl.   everybody says norm chow offence this norm chow offence that.  norm chows offence suckass bigtime period end of story.  norm chow your offence sucks beyond anything ive seen with the titans since back in the 70s
iam just waiting for the post game qwotes from jeff fisher iam watching you jeff and  you better not give us the same old cock and bull story about what the good side of the game was cus there was no good side you dumbass.  pull your head out of your ass and firgure out your team. get in thier faces and light a fire.  your defence sucks bigtime to.
we where better last year then this year.  this reminds me of the fist few gaems with kerry collins in there no offence whatsoever when he was only a week with the team.  the coaching has to change is all the conclusion i have come to.  somebodys head has got to roll for the lack of points and he would be my first choice norm chow that is.  and when he leaves take his fatass tailback and his play book with him.

Replace Young with Collins
When the offense is as bad as what we have, it's  time to make a change and let's start with the quarterback.  One problem is Vince is not an accurate passer.  He forces Norm Chow to go with runs and short passes.  Oh sure, Vince can get the ball close on mid/long balls but with the speed of the defenders in the NFL, close is the difference between an interception and a touchdown.  The opposing teams are now shutting down the run and covering our wide receivers one on one.  So what should we be doing?  We should be lengthing the field by passing downfield.  But if your quarterback isn't accurate or can't think fast enought to comprehend defenses (single digit wonderlic?), then you've got an offense that isn't going to put up points.  At the moment, Vince Young isn't helping the team; let's give Collins a chance and let's see what he can do.  If the offense still has problems, then it's time to replace Chow.

I don't think
you watch games. He has been pretty accurate. Our WRs suck. They run the wrong way(ala Roydell Williams in the end zone), they drop more balls than a little bit, and none of them but Gage has shown that they can get open or make a play. If anything the only mistakes I see are when he tries to do too much, he throws into coverage. Even those throws have been pretty accurate unfortunatley.

This is the shit that really pisses me off. He has been the 1 bright spot on this team the last couple of weeks, And you want to bench him. He is our franchise, and for good reason. I'd rather struggle with him through these times, than go thrue them with players that just don't care. I have a lot to say about this, but I will refrain. Just don't get how your going to put this on Vince!
