NFL Power Rankings Time
It is time to take a look at where the so-called experts think the Titans rank against the other teams of the NFL.
Good news for the Titans: Their next three games are at home. Better news: QB Vince Young should return from injury this week against the Raiders.
No Vince Young? No Chris Brown? No problem -- not when there's a guy named Rob Bironas on the roster. Bironas, the undrafted kicker out of Louisville, booted an NFL-record eight field goals in the Titans' wild 38-36 win on Sunday. The biggest kick came on the last play of the game as Bironas nailed a game-winning 29-yard field goal as time expired. The Titans squandered a 32-7 lead, allowing the Sage Rosenfels-led Texans to score 29 fourth-quarter points before pulling it together in the final moments. Tennessee's now 4-2 with the Raiders up this week. Jeff Fisher and Norm Chow versus Lane Kiffin -- it should be a real USC Trojans affair.
Playing without Vince Young the Titans took a 32-7 lead into the 4th quarter in Houston only to relinquish the lead by allowing 4 touchdown passes to Sage Rosenfels in for Shaub who was injured in the first half... Fortunately for Tennessee, Rob Bironas nailed his 8th field goal of the day (a new NFL record) as time expired to help the Titans improve to (4-2)...
Minus Vince Young, Tennessee won a nail-biter over Houston in week seven, thanks in large part to the right leg of Kicker Rob Bironas and his NFL record eight successful field goals.
They won without Vince Young, even if they didn't make it easy. The defense is playing well, except for that fourth-quarter letdown against the Texans.
No Vince Young, no problem. Kerry Collins and kicker Rob Bironas combine to beat Texans on the road. Bironas leads the way with eight field goals.
After an emotionally and physically draining win, the Titans better have something left in the tank for Oakland.
Does anyone read Hashmarks? Is it an NFL blog or a Cowboys blog?
Records show Jeff Fisher bought heavy stock in smoke and mirrors Friday. We should have known.

The Jags Vs. Titans in the Rankings
We lost to the Colts by three, much closer than the Jags were.
We beat them handily on opening day at their own place!
We are ahead of them in the standings for the AFC South!!
This makes no sense to me. Someone please esplain.

There is no reason
Having said that, you get too much credit for how good your division is. That perception gives all your teams a boost too much.
Say, CIndy is the only team in your division that has the QB they started the season with. That is pathetic, and it exposes a flaw of this division.
