Tampa Bay Buccaneers 13 Tennessee Titans 10

You can't expect to win when you play like that. The Titans just had too many turnovers and penalties. The prevent defense is my least favorite thing in the entire world.  I just don't think it ever works.  Keep playing your defense, especially with an offense that is struggling horribly.  If you are playing the normal defense maybe they can make a play.

We need everyone to think positive thoughts about Vince Young's quad this week.  The Titans will not win at Houston with Kerry Collins at the helm.  Collins didn't play horribly after Vince Young's injury today, but he needs to be surrounded by a cast of really good receivers to be successful.  The Titans just don't have those guys.

I don't think LenDale White is the answer for this team.  The combination of him and Chris Brown works pretty well, but with Brown injured today White averaged 2.6 yards per carry.  That is not going to cut it in this offense.  We may get to see some Chris Henry next week if Brown cannot go.

The Titans just need to put this one behind them and get ready for the Texans.  I will have a more in-depth recap tomorrow.

After the past two weeks,
I would not be surprised if our average Power Ranking slipped out of the Top 10.  We really looked like the team from last years weeks 1-5 (minus last years colts game) the past two weeks.

Vince Young
had his best success last year when he kept the defense guessing if he was going to pass or run himself. Now they know he wants to become more of a passing QB so the defense plans for it.

I think thats why we had our best success this year against the Jags. They were prepared for an 2006 Titans offense. Norm Chow has to draw up some different pass plays to get us going a little bit.

We can't trail the Texans going into the 2nd half next week. Their defense won't let us back in.

.asdfasdf
We didn't really run as much as I thought when Collins was in...and to his credit LenDale DID get in the endzone when it mattered. Too bad it actually didn't matter. I'm more pissed at our defense failure at the end.

I think...
VY played okay.  Granted they again had stupid turnovers, but he looked settled and strong out of the gate in the second half.

Kerry Collins played well, minus that first series.  But once he'd had a few snaps, I thought he did well, and at least he made the long throws.  I mean, he played his game, and it was enough to put the team in a position to win; what else can you ask for from a backup QB.  I think with a week of reps as the starter, he could potentially lead the team to victory of Houston.

I also don't know that I would throw LenDale under the bus or that rushing performance, but I do think he's the natural 3rd Down back and not the natural starter.

Honestly, this is a team that is led by its defense, and they had every opportunity to win--or at least force OT--at the end.  And with that time of possession advantage, they needed to close it down on Garcia, especially when there's no threat of a run.  But the D-Line didn't get any pressure, and any veteran QB is gonna make you pay when he has time.

I really wasn't trying
to throw The Round Mound under the bus.  I do honestly think that he needs to lose about 15 pounds before he will really be an effective runner.

titans are playing horrible football
over the last 2 weeks. as much as i thought we were a shoe-in for the playoffs after the saints game i am now very worried. lets just pray that vince can play next week. if #5 is our qb than the season is over

Look at the rest
of the AFC South. the texans are playing decent even without their #1 receiver. the Jaguars are back at 200% playing like monsters again.

Tennessee needs a consistent producer on offense not like our one week wonders we have been getting in the first 5 - 6 weeks.

We need a...
gamebreaker or at least someone who has a threat to break one at any point in time. What are our receivers yards after catch? Because i dont see them making any plays after catches.

Brandon Jones...
did make a play and made a TD in MNF. But thats all I can recall so far.

The defense played great the whole game except for the last drive. And I think the weakest link in our def is Nick Harper. I wanna see Griffin getting some playing time with our def.

If we could have scored in the 1st half we would have won this game. Our def could've protected our lead.

Our offense sucks right now. :(

Go Titans!

I think...
...a lot of the yards after the catch aren't coming because VY is not hitting guys in stride.  IMO Roydell Williams is the receiver with the best potential, and I think he could do better if they had the timing down better.

What should be
Its sad to think that we are so close on the scoreboard to being 5-0.

Here's to us making the playoffs, though!

I'm hoping
that Chris Henry get's to play.  I look at how Brown is making the cut backs and getting big yards.

If Henry can see those cut backs and hit them then he has the speed and size to take it to the house every time
