NUTS AND BOLTS

Location: Raymond James Stadium, Tampa, FL
Records: Titans (3-1) Buccaneers (3-2)
Weather: 86 degrees, 10% chance of showers, wind NE 13 mph
TV: CBS
Radio: 103.3 WKDF
Bucs Coverage: Buc 'Em and The Tampa Tribune

OFFENSE

Once again, the Titans are facing a fairly weak running defense.  It will be important for the Titans to get into a rhythm on the ground early with LenDale White and Chris Brown.  Controlling the clock could make for an easy win.

The Bucs are probably going to load up to stop the run.  It will be important for Vince Young to hit some throws early to make the defense respect the pass.  If he can make some big plays down the field it will open up the running lanes for White and Brown.

I want to see Vince make some plays with his legs in this game.  He has looked hesitant to run the ball thus far this season.  He is at his best running around and making plays.  I am ready to see that again.

DEFENSE

The Titans' defense will need to shut down the Buccanneers running game.  They are a team that likes control the clock.  Their offense is not designed for a lot of big plays.  The Titans need to keep the Bucs in obvious passing downs.

The Titans defense needs to keep Jeff Garcia in the pocket.  He likes to roll out and make plays on the run.  If the Titans can keep Garcia in the pocket they will force him to make mistakes.

The Titans defense needs to keep forcing turnovers like they have the last 2 games.  The offense will probably need some help against a stout Bucs defense.

The Titans are going to have to play better than last week to win this game.  There is no doubt in my mind that they will.  We have all seen how Vince Young plays following a bad game.  I am excited to see what he will do in this game.

Hope Orbit ESPN Dubai will show this game so I can participate in the thread. If not, i'll be listening on the radio and will keep track in the internet.

I don't hear or read a lot about Chris Hope so far this season so i'm going to predict he'll have a great game today. :)

my first HOME game will be close to than too. december 9th vs the chargers.

im from toronto and ive seen the titans in cleveland and buffalo but nothing compares to a good home game!

I got the idea...
...that Brandon Jones could have played if he'd been needed, but that they didn't feel the need to push him because of the depth at WR.  It'd be nice to E. Moulds get more into the game.

not too many mistakes besides
that fumble.  Vince is having some trouble with his accuracy.  The ground game was struggling but was getting a boost from CB before that fumble.

The offense
has moved the ball a little bit.  The only mistake was the fumble on the last drive.

We starting running out of the shotgun on that drive and it was very effective.

I love defensive games
but if this was any other team playing i would have changed the channel to a more exciting game by now. Cmon Norm open up the playbook a little more. We have an excellent offensive line and a yount talented quarterback. I want to see someone light up that scoreboard.

in a defensive struggle like this you gotta
take the points.  Plus we were at the 30, so even a first down could mean possibly taking a field goal later so it really isnt worth it
