New Orleans, LA (Sports Network) - Drew Brees passed for 320 yards and three touchdowns and Reggie Bush had 75 all-purpose yards and two scores as the New Orleans Saints hammered the Oakland Raiders, 34-3, at the Louisiana Superdome.
Brees finished 26-of-30 passing, while Aaron Stecker and Mark Campbell each scored a TD for the Saints (3-3), who rebounded from a 30-27 loss to Minnesota on October 6th. Rookie kicker Taylor Mehlhaff chipped in with a pair of field goals in the win.
JaMarcus Russell struggled, completing only 13-of-35 passes for 159 yards, with an interception, for Oakland (1-4), which dropped its third straight game but first under Tom Cable, who was making his NFL head coaching debut after replacing the recently fired Lane Kiffin on an interim basis. Cable previously served as the Raiders offensive line coach.
Sebastian Janikowski accounted for Oakland's only points with a 24-yard field goal.
